How much light do I need to properly expose film in 8mm Vintage bell & Howell Electric Eye?

I found an eye vintage electric when he took away my fathers things Its a bit like the 127 but older, I think. The 127 seemed a lil more improved. My counter Power does not work. I guess the light door would expose the film correctly as long as im not in direct sunlight which may explain more. But if I'm home at night, have that much room with all the bright light would be on the film is properly exposed. I am looking for a series slight average.

Outdoors should be good. I have a collection of vintage 8mm camera film, and I pull out. Most of my devices are manual exposure (if you set the aperture manually) but I have a few cameras with a look "electric" for auto exposure and they seem to exhibit fine. Of course, the exhibition also depends on the ISO film. Most movies 8mm film (like Ektachrome 100D) have an ISO of 100 or less. It is still quite low, and you will not be able to shoot indoors, unless you a powerful light. I tried shooting indoors, even with the opening wide open to f/2.8 and the film was still too dark. Just think of it this way … if you're shooting and you use 100 ISO film in theaters, you would normally need to do a long exposure. You would have to leave the shutter open for a few seconds. Thus, a camera does not do better. You must have enough light, whether a video or a still film. You can send me an email if you have any questions. I am in 8mm and I might be able to help.
