How do I paint a foyer two tones?

We have a split level house – we are painting the room that you mount the stairs to right-color (slate blue on top, a chair rail while lighter blue on the bottom) that we carry the color and picture rail in the corridor. How could we paint the house? Everything is open and I know we can not two-tone paint with chair rail. Should we paint the lighter color of blue?

Firstly, you must keep your darker at the bottom. Most interior decorators suggest to everyone. You could make a tape in the home. Tape It Off, painting the tape of a color, let dry, then re-tape on the sides that you just paint, then apply another color. Or you can paint the side walls light blue, and paint the wall the door of darker blue. Or you can paint a white or off white and add a blue image, or images of blue mats inside. You do not say that the carpet seems to be – if you do not already, add a carpet of the stairs in blues or a different household carpet. Good luck in your decision.
