How can I make what I read stick in my brain?

I have to do lots of reading of the University, because I'm the read faster it goes in one ear / eye and more! Then we discuss later, I can not remember the characteristics of it! What can I do to make it stick?

I remember the way in graduate school, I was like a night 200 pages to read and I was always stressing about how I could remember it all. The answer is that you should really try to relax. When you read you must complete silence, no music or television, no matter what excuses you use if you study this way, it will not work. You must also have a highlighter, but do not go crazy highlighter and mark the reading frame. If you do, it just sort of defeats the purpose. Finally, try a little reflection as you go. I know you do not have much time for him when you have a lot to read but just a little here and there to give you some confidence that you understand what you read and it sinks in. A few more tips to help you not identify yourself as "not getting it" maintain the mouth shut in class and your ears open. It is often tempting to want to speak in class, and often it does not make you service. Really think before you speak and only speak after thinking and you know, really know that your comment is correct and timely. If you have any doubts on the amount of retention you've had from reading it is better to sit quietly pay attention.
