The stainless steel?

I have a stainless steel pot 11 quarts that I discovered what I think is a spot of rust. Are there any thing that I can buy to get rid of the stain or should I pitch the pot?

Yes, but very slight friction with the scouring pad … or try "Bartender's Friend" or "Zud" or "Bon Ami" with some 0000 (very) to fine steel wool and a little Water … wipe and then flush the crud, then rub a drop of cooking oil on top this place. Always make sure that your stainless steel pots, pans, utensils are allowed to dry in such a way that any water can drain out / off of them.
