How do you know your polarized sunglasses?

I read that someone bought the polarized glasses online, but when he has received in the mail they are not polarized. How can you tell whether they are when you get them? do they look different or wat?

Well, if you own 2 pairs of polarized sunglasses all but one rotated 90 degrees, almost no light will pass by both – the lenses will almost black. But without another pair to test, I do not know how it could be determined. Well, you could emerge one of ice, if possible … or use a polarizing filter to a camera.
