Threading a piece of a metal tube to a nut with basic skills and tools?

I have a piece of metal that was put it on the plant for a nut. The thread stops about two inches before I want. I want to add threading the metal tube when the nut can go further. Can I get the tool to continue the threading? Can I do this with no power?

I need it for a supplier of plumbing, they do it for you. You need a threader "pipe", but for no more than you have to do, I would not go to the expense. Go be a plumber, a couple of bucks and it will be done in no time, very easy with the right tools. Advice on a "tap and die" set is totally false .. Valves are for threading the bolt holes and matrices for threading bolts, completely different tools.
