Did you do much reading if you want to be a writer?

I would like to become a writer but I do not do much reading. I am an English degree and I must read many books that I can do the course work, but outside the university, I probably read only two or three pounds a year of my own choice. So what do you think? Could I still be able to become a great writer, if I do not much reading? I get a lot of inspiration in the real world around me.

You do not need to read much to be a writer. I know a very famous writer, and he reads very little. He does not want his stories to be influenced by the ideas of others! To be a good writer, you must have two skills immportant. The first is that you should be able to write properly. This means that you understand the grammar, sentence structure, how to write dialogue, and spelling. I am a horrible and Speller had a difficult time until spell that was invented … You must also understand that a good story has a beginning, body and conclusion. The second, and competence The most important is that you are able to tell a story! You must be able to make interesting reading for others. Write this you know! Your world around you is a great inspiration. Good writing practice is to write sentences that have "texture". This means that it is related to what you see, smell, taste, hear and be touched. Most people write about what is seen, but not how things or feel. For example: the leaves change color in autumn. We can all see colors, but how do they feel? How do they hear when you walk through them? Describing these things makes us feel as if they are there. I recommend that you write creative with your free time instead of reading the books if you want be a writer! Good luck to you!
