My neighbor just bought a Harley Davidson, but it is second hand and can not get the manual up to about a week, now he can not start as the ignition requires some knowledge on how to make it go. Can you please help me or refer to a site that has a manual for it? Model: Ultra Classic Electra Guide – FLHTCU THANX ago he bought one day you idiots, he just forgot how to start, as he has alarms and all these things. Then he can go. "idiots"

I have a FXDWG, '99 model. Not a member Electra. But if this is not a fuel injected model, it should be a fairly simple process to get your "neighbor" killed. (You do not talk to me if he was up before. Let's hope so.) You also said that it was used, so I will not anything on the FI models. Unlock the steering column if it has a separate lock. The key will be round and have a few cuts taken out of him. (Mine.) There should be a large nut with a lid on the tank console. (Not sure of the bat-wing bike. Do not make the thing lighter.) The same key that unlocks the steering column will unlock this too. Do not leave keys where you can unlock. Either you scratch the crap out of your shell or lose the keys. Make sure the fuel valve is in position. (I always leave ON maintaining, as I ride almost every day you do not to worry about the pressure on the seat of the needle valve carb.) I never let him aside! The bad news, if you do no fuel gauge.) On the right side of the handlebars should be a button labeled Run and Stop. Push that puppy on Run, then turn the large knob to inflammation. (You can leave the Run button, but with the console switch to the ignition using the battery. So I left for last.) Pull the clutch lever, even if you know you're in neutral. (They start easier like that.) And prepare for take off! Stuff should light. (You said it was used, so I do not know what still works and what does not.) If no fuel injected to match a healthy twist and click the start button. (Just to the left of the Run and Stop button.) You do not need a starter if the weather is nice and the engine is in good shape. Mine chug twice and fires right up. Make sure the bike is in neutral, Let the clutch. Check your turn signals, horn, high beams, etc (I only do once a week now.) You should be active after that. If, namely, the Electra Glide is something like a FXDWG. No tips constituency. You do not ask for any. But I will say this: check the oil a little at first. You do not say it was used, but you do not know how hard, and I do not know the mileage. Listen for strange noises. These suckers are heavy. If you break, you thrust hard. Better safe than sorry with ANY bike, not just a pig. If I can be of any help other than I do Yahoo e-mail and instant messaging my avatar pic.
