How do I protect painted on plastic?

I'll either draw a design on plastic eggs with a permanent marker or paint with everything else on the plastic paint. What kind of thing would it laminate or protect against scratches off? I planned actually using only the black nail polish .. Any thoughts? xD

If you paint them by hand and then use acrylic paint and when finished, and after they dry for a while. Then spray them with a clear acrylic enamel. Both paintings are made of plastic. Remember this though, If you decide to use permanent markers Do not use the spray acyclic protection. It will run the markers to be careful.
