So I am still in doubt as to which purchase one on ebay told me that the serial number 3083 B C501 is 52 [] 16 135 or that this lady purchased a property sale, serial number 3083-8 C501 54016 1535. She said she has led to Lenscrafter and they told him they were genuine, but the numbers seem odd to me. What do you think? How do I know on the basis of serial numbers, if they are real or fake Chanel Chanel sunglasses? Only experts PLEASE !!!!!

This is not a serial number. 3083B is the model # C501 is the color code # 52-16 is the size … the other is 54-16 larger size .. 54 mm is the width of each lens and 16 mm is the size of the bridge. The 135 is the length of the temples (arms) mm … I think she has misread the 135, and sees another 5 it … probably just a typo … it can not really be there. It's the same frame and color, but 1 of larger … Lens width 54mm vs 52mm on the other.
